Grand Hotel Moderne  Hotel Description The Grand Hotel Moderne, built in 1896 by the younger brother of St. Bernadette, is one of Lourdes most stylish and elegant hotels. Le Majorelle restaurant in the hotel serves typical French/Italian cuisine in a luxurious setting of wall mouldings, wood and Italian marble. Hotel Accommodation The hotel consists of 110 rooms which were all recently renovated in 2008 with particular attention to detail, and a willingness to maintain the special atmosphere of this unique and charming house. The decor is warm and refined, with the furniture styles and colours ranging between shades of beige, brown and dark red that communicate seamlessly with each other to create a warm, elegant and precious atmosphere. These elegant rooms are spacious in size with large comfortable beds and some may feature a balcony. All rooms are equipped with satellite T.V, air conditioning, hair dryer, safety deposit box, mini bar and telephone as well as all other necessary amenities. The bathrooms are magnificently decorated with Italian marble and white porcelain. Thirty rooms and suites offer a view of the sanctuary, located just 50 meters in front of the hotel. The other rooms allow you to appreciate the holy city or the Pyrenees, which extend to the horizon.
